Abstract

Autonomy, Bureaucratization and Peronism. A CGT Document (1949) and an Unpublished Text by Juan Carlos Torre for Pasado y Presente (1974). The document gives an account of the debates that took place in the Central Confederal Committee (CCC) of the CGT, regarding its statutes, of December 1949. In the first months of 1974 Torre transcribed the minutes with the exchanges that took place at that meeting several union leaders, which revolved around the headquarters' capacity for intervention in its member organizations. The complete document had not been released and Torre's text remained unpublished. Now, both materials are published in Archives of the history of the labor movement and the left.
